Phase C

  • Sodium Hydroxide (10% solution)

Phase D

  • Diocide (Centerchem, Inc.)

  • Pepha-Tight (Manufactured by DSM Nutritional Products Pentapharm Branch, North American Distributor: Centerchem, Inc.)
  • 5.00

Procedure

  1. Heat Phase A to 75C.
  2. Add carbomer to Phase B water and mix until uniform. Begin heating to 75C.
  3. Add remaining Phase B ingredients and mix until uniform. (Aurasphere may thicken the water phase.)
  4. When both phases are at 75C, add Phase A to Phase B under vigorous mixing. Mix for 10 minutes.
  5. Slow down mixer and begin cool-down.
  6. At 50C, add Phase C.
  7. At 45C, add Phase D ingredients, one at a time. Mix until uniform. Discontinue.
